We release
white doves for Weddings, Funerals and Memorials, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Baby and Bridal Showers, Christenings, Homecomings
and Blessings,
Bar Mitzvahs, Sporting Events, Grand Openings, Festivals, Outdoor Concerts, Veteran's Ceremonies
and Parades, and all other Special Occasions.
We Offer Gift Certificates for those special moments or
in lieu
of flowers for funerals and memorials.
Releasing white doves for weddings, funerals and special
occasions has been a tradition throughout the world for centuries. Doves have been in life's celebrations because of their
gracefulness, beauty and the symbolisms associated with them. The pure white homing pigeons are decendents of the rock dove.
The white ring neck is a smaller dove which we use in our dove dislpays. They don't have the homing ability like the
rock dove.
The Greeks domesticated these angels of the skies and took great care of them in their temples.
Throughout the world many artists have captured their beauty. For centuries journalists have written great stories and
poems to describe what they symbolize. The doves to me are a symbol of pure love as they glide through the skies with such
grace.
There are many biblical references about doves. Most of us are familiar with the ancient Sumarian and Hebrew
story of the great flood and the building of Noah's ark. After the flood, Noah sent out a dove who returned with
an olive branch in her beak. The gift gave the family hope, strength and the understanding of peace.
The books
of Matthew, Mark and Luke tells us of the baptism of Jesus. The Lord appeared as a dove descending from the heavens.
"Thou art my beloved son: in thee I am well pleased."
I think most, if not all, religions
have stories of the dove.
A Dove's Nest offers a variety of dove releases
and display packages to suit everyone's budget and needs to make your day special.
You may choose a dove release
from a basket or handheld. The baskets will be beautifully decorated with silk flowers to coordinate with the colors of your
event.
Rain or shine the beautiful white doves can be a part of your celebration. The doves will be in display
cages decorated to coordinate colors on an individul basis. We will add lights to the cages for night events. These doves
are for display and will not be released.
Our professional handler has been training birds for over 50
years. Our doves are very well cared for and will fly home to their lofts after each release.
